But after iOS 11, Apple Company has made it simple to share a Wi-fi password from an iPhone to other any Mac computer running macOS Sierra, or an iPad etc. In this article we discuss about how you easily share your Wi-fi password on an iPhone:

Make sure, your apple ID is must be in the other person’s contact list before you start. Once you find your Apple ID then go to the contacts list tap on edit in the top right corner, then add your ID under the contact name’s email address.

Another method to share Wi-fi from Your iPhone

  • You have a gear-shaped icon on your home screen that is your setting option on your iPhone.
  • Then start Bluetooth. You can check the slider at the top is green or not, if it is green then be sure your Bluetooth is turn on.
  • Again come back to settings option and tap on wi-fi.
  • Go to your iPhone section sign in to a Wi-fi network. To sign in the network click its name from the list, then enter all your login information. In case your device automatic signs into your Wi-fi network and avoid the steps.
  • On your iPhone only one thing is required that is Wi-fi password, go to Settings.
  • Click on wi-fi if you want to share Wi-Fi password with a Mac computer.
  • Select the similar Wi-fi network. This must be similar network that the iPhone that will be sharing the password is already connected to.
  • When prompted don’t dare to enter the password.
  • In your iPhone that’s already connected, go to Wi-Fi.
  • Click on your share password the pop-up window. Both the iPhone need to be within Bluetooth range.
  • By that the other device can receive the password and able to connect to the Wi-Fi.

In case you have trouble to sharing Wi-fi password among the devices, here are a few tips to make it easy.

  • Switch off or reboot both of the devices.
  • Be sure both of your devices have the latest software updates. If not then go to Settings > General > Software Update > Download and Install. If you don’t find the option to download and update, your iPhone is up to date.
  • Disconnect from the Wi-fi connection list and again join it. To do this, go to Settings > Wi-fi and tap on the network name. Click the letter “i” sign and then tap “Forget this Network.” Once that’s done, join once again the network and finally enter the password.
  • If you want to reset the network settings on your iPhone then go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
  • At last reboot the router.
